The Garden State Law Enforcement Oficers Association mourns the passing of Newark Police Officer Willie Johnson who was brutally murdered while off duty. Our prayers are with the Johnson Family, the members of the Newark Police deaprtment and FOP Lodge #12.

It was another successful event for the New Jersey Special Olympics as the 5TH ANNUAL POLAR BEAR PLUNGE in Wildwood, NJ raised over $150,00.00.

Over 200 participants took the plunge in the icy waters of the Atlantic Ocean for this fantastic cause.

Our own Sgt At arms Wayne Olsen helped coordinate this fine event again this year.

Officer Chris Matlosz

Jahmell Crockman was apprehended for the savage murder of officer Christopher Matlosz. Officer Matlosz was a police officer for the Lakewood Police Department. The Garden State Law Enforcement Officer's Association mourns the passing of our brother and sends our sincere condolences to the Matlosz family and the members of the Lakewood Police Department.

We at the Garden State Law Enforcement Officers Association are proud to announce that Captain Tom Fatigante of the Monmouth County Sheriff's Office has been named 2010 Member of the Year.

Tom has always promoted the ideals and principals of our organization his dedication and tirless efforts are truly appreciated.
